These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of isbn.aiauthor.pub (the "Service"), an ISBN assignment and retailing service operated in connection with AIAuthor. By accessing, browsing, registering for, purchasing from, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, "Account" means a registered user account; "Content" means data, text, order information, metadata, uploaded material, or other information submitted to the Service; "Output" means ISBN numbers, receipts, emails, dashboard records, download files, or other deliverables made available through the Service.
The Service provides ISBN assignment services using official Nielsen UK ISBNs under our imprint. We may add, remove, restrict, improve, or discontinue features, workflows, payment options, delivery methods, or limits at any time.
The Service does not transfer ownership of an ISBN to you. Instead, it provides permission to use an official Nielsen UK ISBN under our imprint, subject to these terms.
By purchasing through the Service, you acknowledge that our company or imprint remains the publisher of record in the relevant industry databases tied to the ISBN assignment. If you require your own company or imprint to be listed as publisher, you should obtain ISBNs directly from Nielsen or the relevant official agency.
You are responsible for all activity conducted under your account. You must keep login credentials confidential and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use or security compromise.
Orders are generally processed digitally. ISBNs may be delivered through your account dashboard, email, downloadable receipt, or other supported means. Delivery timing may vary depending on payment confirmation, fraud checks, or operational constraints.
You are responsible for ensuring that any information you submit about your publication, business, or publishing plans is accurate and lawful. You are also responsible for using assigned ISBNs in a manner consistent with publishing standards and applicable law.
You remain solely responsible for ensuring that you have all necessary rights, permissions, and legal authority relating to any book, metadata, title, cover, description, or other content connected with your publication. We do not verify whether your publication infringes any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other legal right.
Because the Service involves digital assignment of unique identifiers and irreversible allocation decisions, charges are generally non-refundable once an order has been accepted for processing, except where required by law or where we decide in our discretion to offer a refund, credit, or adjustment.
You must not use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, deceptive, or infringing activity. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate service where we reasonably believe a request creates legal, payment, operational, reputational, or security risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential, incidental, or special losses, including loss of profits, loss of revenue, data loss, business interruption, or third-party claims, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws selected by the operator of the Service, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under local law.
We may update these terms and related legal pages at any time by publishing revised versions on the site. Your continued use of the Service after that time constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
